Giving Clothes a Second Life. Creating New Opportunities for Our Community.
Shop secondhand with purpose at Heart of Gold, a nonprofit thrift store turning donated clothing into community programs.
Through our online shop, local pop-up events, and community partnerships, we make affordable clothing accessible, support creative arts opportunities for children, and provide clothing for families in need.
Support our mission by donating, shopping, or getting involved.
Monthly Pop-Up Thrift Store
Join us on the last Saturday of every month from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. for our community pop-up thrift store.
Every item is priced between $1 and $5, making quality clothing affordable and accessible for everyone.
Our Mission
Heart of Gold Charitable Foundation is rooted in stewardship and sustainability. We collect and resell gently used clothing at affordable prices to fund creative arts scholarships and support local families in need.
Through community partnerships, clothing donations, and regular pop-up events, we create opportunities for artistic expression, provide clothing assistance to families, and keep quality items in circulation—reducing waste while uplifting our community.
We believe everyone has something to give, something to receive, and a place to belong. Together, we create a cycle of generosity that sustains both art and heart in Carpinteria.
Volunteer
Volunteers are at the heart of everything we do. Connect with your community, and help us bring out programs to life. Lend your time and talents to make a meaningful difference; help us with pop up events and process donations.
